Rev. Jack Jones, Minister

Pastor Jack came to us from Warwick, RI, and began preaching here at First Congregational Church in Worcester on November 5, 2023. His passion is Clinical Pastoral Education. He is well educated and loves working with people who share an interest in caring for and aiding the less fortunate people in our society, bringing them up from difficult places in their lives to grow and flourish, thereby becoming valuable assets to society. Wherever Pastor Jack sees a need, he is there to help. Preaching is his passion and he gives 110% of himself to his work. He believes that with Jesus’ help, there are no boundaries as to what we can do to help our fellow man. "The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made" (Psalm 145:9). This personifies Pastor Jack, working through Jesus more closely than I’ve ever seen. He cares for people when no one else does and has faith in them. If there is a way, he will find it.

Pastor Jack is passionate about music and reading. He has three grown children, whom he loves dearly and enjoys spending time with.

Scott M. Yonker, Minister of Music

Scott has served faithfully as our Minister of Music for over 25 years and we are truly fortunate to have him as part of our leadership team. His musical skills are immeasurable, and he makes our organ and piano sing as his fingers dance across the keys! If you would like to request a special hymn just let him know, and he’ll be delighted to play it on an upcoming Sunday.

Our congregation always looks forward to Music Sunday with great anticipation.

Scott is a fantastic baker, baking bread and other treats for us on special occasions. He loves the summer when he can bask in the sun, by his pool.
